Toggle started in 2018 to reimagine and revolutionize insurance for internet-hungry consumers. Backed by Farmers Insurance, the millennial-focused brand delivered a customizable, subscription approach for renters insurance starting at $5 a month. They even keep coverage fun with unique add-ons like pet parent and side hustle coverage.

I was brought on board during the launch to help the company with digital strategy, design, social media, and email campaigns.

Since Toggle was a new brand, my strategy was to use vectors and illustrated graphics in the original digital strategy in order to build brand awareness with their very recognizable brand colors. You’ll see their colors in everything, including the piece above. I created that in After Effects and Illustrator to show how easy it is to “Toggle On” coverage (honestly was way harder to create the video than to choose most coverage). I also used my motion graphics and graphic design skills for their organic and paid social. Even after Toggle made the decision to bring on an external agency for their entire marketing strategy, they continue to use my work in some of their pieces.

In addition to the social media posts, I also created email campaigns for Toggle, including partnerships with Tango and FreeBird. Since Toggle is geared toward millennials, I thought about how millennials consume media, and decided that the brand should keep copy in the marketing collateral short and sweet.
